Pupil Premium support at Walmley Infant School

To support our families during the Coronarvirus Pandemic:

  • £400 of Asda vouchers were distributed to help families whilst the Government food voucher scheme was set up (20 children )
  • Foodbank vouchers were sent to families who did not qualify for Food Vouchers but were struggling.
  • Eden Red Food Vouchers to the amount of £7040 were emailed to 21 families who qualified for pupil premium covering the period from Apri 1st to August 2020.

Are you eligible for Free School Meal (Pupil Premium) Funding?

You may be eligible to claim free school meals for your child, up to the age of 19 years, if you (or your child) get one of the following:

  • Income support
  • Income-based Jobseeker Allowance
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you’re not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on (paid for the 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit)
  • The guaranteed element of State Pension Credit
  • Universal Credit

If you are eligible, please contact school as we can claim funding which will support your child. We can use this funding against the cost of school trips and school uniform.
